From Combination Atlas Map of Medina County, Ohio dated 1874:

Eldest son of Frederick & Sallie (Bigelow) Daniels, was born March 24, 1822, in Portage County, Ohio. On the 2nd day of July, 1847, he married Angiline Gilbert, of the same county. In the spring of 1851 he located to Westfield, where he now resides. His family comprise twelve children, as follows:
Augusta E., Emma, Lois(who died at the age of eleven), G.W., Charles, Annette, Frederick, Anna (who died in infancy),M. Urania and Gilbert.
Two other children also died in infancy. Mr. Daniels has been an active and useful man, and has served the community in a number of township offices. David Daniels, grandfather of George F., served through the Revolutionary War under General Washington. He came from Connecticut to Ohio in 1796.
