Ruby Lynn Lee Tanner, 87, of 600 W. Memorial Dr., Dallas, Ga. Formerly of Cedartown, Ga. Passed away Monday, August 5, 2002. She was born October 8, 1914 in Haralson County and was a member of the Felton Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Elton Tanner; parents, Rueben and Cora Lee; daughter, Joyce O. Gunter. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Argo of Cartersville; son and daughter-in-law, Ed and Shirley Tanner of Villa Rica; five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Tanner were conducted Wednesday, August 7, 2002 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Quigley and Dr. Broadus Marlow officiating. The interment followed in Polk Memory Gardens. The family received friends Tuesday, August 6, 2002 from 6:00 until 9:00 P.m. at the Gammage Funeral Home. Pallbearers: Mike Butler, Pete Rogers, Harold Tanner, Dual Shaw, Charles Johnson, Richie Johnson, Gary King. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made ot the First Baptist Church of Villa Rica, 1483 Hwy 78, Villa Rica, Ga. 30180. Gammage Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.
