Mrs. William Abbott, 92, of 700 E. Locust St., died early today in Rome Hospital after a brief illness.
The former Clara F. Myers, she was born in the Town of Westmoreland Feb. 28, 1883 daughter of Peter and Josephine Ritter Myers.
She moved to Rome from Rochester 10 years ago Mr. Abbott died in 1941.
Mrs. Abbott was a Communiant of St. Mary’s Church .
She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Chester (Beatrice) Taft, with whom she resided and a sister , Emma Fletcher of Rome.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 Saturday at the Funeral Home of Griffin & Aldridge, and at 1 at St. Mary’s Church. Burial will be in the Parish cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be 7 to 9 tonight and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Friday
