I have updated the year of his birth using the baptism act. I had 1847, but it was 1846.
Also, in 2009 I had figured this was Élzéar Métayer who was visiting his son in Montreal. Now I am not certain anymore if he is Elzéar. He is certainly related to my great-grandfather Édouard. He could be one of his uncles.
Édouard-Elzéar Métayer was the son of Jean Métayer and Angèle Marcoux. He married his first wife Philomène Dupont on April 13, 1869 in Ste-Famille, Île d'Orléans, Montmorency, Québec, Canada. After the death of his first wife in 1878. He married Delphine Chalifour.
