John W. S. Walls, Son of Jeremiah Walls and Angeline Amanda Roberson "Amanda" of Crawford County, Indiana. Amanda was married previously to Samuel Bell before she married John.


Married Sarah Tucker on December 25, 1891.


Father of Maudie (married Torrence St. Clair), Hallie, Dewey, Vernie and Nellie Walls.


Married again in 1916 to Golda Lee and was the father of Lester, Luella and Catherine.

OBITUARY

John Wesley Walls


John Wesley Walls, son of Jeremiah and Amanda Walls, was born near Mifflin, November 12, 1869 and died September 14, 1941, aged 71 years, 10 months and 2 days.


In 1891 he was married to Sally Tucker, who preceded him death on April 12, 1912.


To this union five children were born: Hallie Chapel, of Eckerty; Vernie Walls, of Indianapolis; Nellie Kellems and Dewey Walls of Marion, and Maudie St Clair, of Birdseye.


On November 6, 1912, he married Goldie Iris Lee.


To this union four children were born: Lester Walls, Luella Goldsmith, Catherine Walls all of New Albany, and Mary Walls died in infancy.


He leaves his wife, children mentioned three brothers, Sam walls, of Long Beach, Cal.; Hammond Walls, of Cedar Lake, Ind, and Jerry Walls, of Mansfield, O.; two sister, Viola Zimmerman and Lucreta Graves, both of St. Louis.

Obit:

John W. Walls, 71, died at 6 o'clock Sunday night at his residence, 124 West Main street. He is survived by his widow, Goldie Wall; three sons, Vernie Walls of Indianapolis and Dewey Walls, Marion Walls and Lester Walls, Eckerty, Ind.; five daughters, Mrs. James Chappell, also of Eckerty, Mrs. Torrence St. Clair, Birdseye, Ind.; Mrs. Edward Kellams of Marion, Ind., and Mrs. Frank Goldsmith and Miss Catherine Walls, both of New Albany.

The body is at the Kraft Parlors, 708 East Springs street. Funeral services and burial will be held Tuesday afternoon at Eckerty, Ind.
