The burial information for William Jolliffe is found in "Genealogical and Personal History of the Upper Monongahela Valley West Virginia" on page 393, published in 1912. WJ married first Catherine Collins, and second, the widow, Charity Taylor Prickett, of Josiah Prickett (oldest son of Jacob Prickett, Sr., the founder of Pricketts Fort)in Marion County near Rivesville. The quote: "He [William Jolliffe] was interred in the burying ground, which according to the old custom formed part of the "Willey Farm," near Rivesville, in what is now Marion county, West Virginia."

Also states: "William and Catherine (Collins) Jolliffe had twelve children: James, born July 17, 1780; William, July 25,1781; John, July 20, 1783; Thomas, Nov 15, 1785; Hannah, July 5, 1787; Aaron, Sept 15, 1789; Amos, July 6, 1791; Levi, Sept 2, 1793; Elizabeth, May 20, 1796; Joseph, May 20, 1798; Job, June 15, 1800; Nathan, May 3, 1802."

He married Catherine Collins August 1, 1779. She died 1804.

Note: This Willey Cemetery near Farmington may NOT be the same as the Willey Farm near Rivesville. So it is possible William Jolliffe is NOT buried near Farmington. Another source, "The History of Marion County WV" published 1985, on page 211, states a death date of May 24, 1827. Also states WJ "...fought in the American Revolution, serving as a private under Col. Crawford in the Upper Sandusky Campaign in 1782." This source does not give burial information. More research is needed regarding the location of the Willey Farm near Rivesville.
