Ms. Patricia Louise “Trisha” Batten, 65 of Blackshear, passed away Sunday morning, August 6, 2017, at her residence.
Born in Jesup, GA on March 17, 1952, she had lived in Jacksonville, FL before returning to Blackshear several years ago. Trisha was a 1970 graduate of Blackshear High School and had kept children for a number of years prior to working for Olin Mills in sales. She enjoyed reading and making friends and dearly loved children and taking care of them. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Trisha was a daughter of the late Hugh Batten & Louise Gregory Batten. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Gregory Hugh Batten.
Survivors include her sister and brother-in-law, Susan & Rick Bennett of Athens, GA; her close friends and caregivers, Heather Sweat and Joann Thomas both of Patterson, and Sis Young of Blackshear; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Memorialization is by cremation.
