Charles Houston Chappell, 80, of Midwest City, was called home by our Lord on Monday morning, January 1, 2007. He was born on September 21, 1926 to Charles and Effie Chappell in Havanna, Arkansas. Charles moved to Oklahoma at an early age and resided in Warner, OK. He and his family moved to Midwest City in 1953. Charles became self employed in the automotive service business and was well known and loved by his customers. Charles was a longtime member of Country Estates Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant daughter, two sisters, Geraldine and Virginia, and numerous half-brothers and sisters. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 56 years, Roberta, son, Don and wife, Jolene, 2 granddaughters, Dana Michelle Garten, and her 4 children, and Tena Rene' Holmes and husband, Robert, and their 2 children, and 1 brother, Nathaniel Paul Chappell, of Orlando, FL. Services will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, January 4, 2007 at Country Estates Baptist Church, under the direction of Ford Funeral service, with Dr. Bruce Dane officiating. Burial will be at 3:30 pm, Thurs., at Woodland Cemetery, in Cleveland, OK, under the direction of Larry Wilson.
