Age 44.

He died either shortly after or several weeks after (depending on which date you believe) being wounded at the Battle of Shiloh, and, according to Lt. Posegate's letter, he had been hospitalized, so "Shiloh Battlefield" may not be the precise place of death. Does anyone know the exact place of death?
