Thomas, 86, Van Wert, died at 4:15 p.m., at Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

He was the son of Amos and Barbara (Weaver) Dailey. He married Betty Miller, who preceded him in death.

Surviving are a daughter, Kathy Martin, Elida; a son, Kevin (Sandy), Van Wert; two daughters-in-law: Leilani Dailey, Van Wert, and Ana Dailey, Archbold; a sister, Donna (John) Baxter, Gatlinburg, TN; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Deceased are two sons: Michael and Stephen; five brothers: Frank, Mirdeth, Charles, Ralph and Eugene; and six sisters: Mary Tindall, Bonnie Dittus, Lela Waggoner, Lula Springer, Wilma and Lucile Dailey.

Retired as an inspector at Chrysler, he had worked for many years at Bordon's Cheese Factory and the Van Wert Times Bulletin. He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Van Wert, a veteran of the United States Army, a member of the UAW Local and a former member of the American Legion.

Services will be at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Van Wert, with the Rev. Will Haggis officiating. Burial will be at Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert, with military honor rendered by the combined units of the Van Wert VFW and American Legion.
