Lorraine Norton Ackerman of 104 Main St. in Deep River died Friday at Deep River Convalescent Hospital after a long illness. She was 82.
She was born in Westbrook and lived in Deep River for the past 3 1/2 years.
She is survived by five sons, Vincent Ackerman Jr. of Old Saybrook, James Ackerman of Deep River, William Ackerman Sr. of Deep River, John Ackerman of Westbrook and Michael Ackerman of East Hampton; a daughter, Marilyn Ackerman of Hartford; three sisters, Thelma Shumbo of Clinton, Laura Mullins of Independence, Kan., and Helen Vitari of Westbrook; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Indian River Cemetery, Clinton. Friends may call at the Swan Funeral Home, 211 Main St., Deep River, Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.
