Mr. Eakins was born at Anderson, Ind., Nov. 23, 1873, a son of William and Libby Beekman Eakans. He spent most of hi life in Pike County.
Mr. Eakins is survived by four sons, Charles C. and William Harold, both of Washington Court House, G.S., Leesburg and Crayton J. of Dayton; two daughters, Mrs. Roy Shanks and Mrs. Pohn Lawhorne, both of Dayton.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Gregg Funeral Home, Rev. E.R. Arthur of Leesburg, officiating, with burial in Waverly cemetery.
