Her parents were both previously married. Her father, Isaac Dayton Ward, was widowed from Almena née Bogue, with whom he had nine children (Frankie's half siblings). Her mother, Laura Ann née Fellows (May 1832- ?), daughter of Stephen Fellows (1797-1877) & Sabra née Stevens (1805-1882), was widowed from Abraham (or Abram) Wheeler (c. 1828-1875?), with whom she had two children (Frankie's half siblings). Frankie (Frances) was the only child from the union of her parents. See her father's link for more.

Frankie married Arthur J Simmons on February 10th, 1897, Kane Co., IL. The couple had two children in Illinois, Ward Howard & Vylia (Joseph F) Neil, before moving to Lake Geneva, Walworth Co., WI (by 1905). After her husband's death Frankie went to live with her daughter's family.
