Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Jean Elizabeth Campbell Kalino, 79, who passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 in Athens, Georgia after a long battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis.

Mrs. Jean was born April 23, 1973 in Kansas City, KS, the daughter of Eugene and Esther McNaughton Campbell. Mrs. Jean proudly attended Kansas State University, Manhattan, KS and cheered for their football and basketball teams religiously. She lived a majority of her adult life in California where she worked for Lockheed Missile Space & Command in Sunnyvale for numerous years before transitioning to a Teacher’s Aide at Nile Garden Elementary School in Manteca. While in California she and her husband were the California Junior Angus Advisors for numerous years where they encouraged and celebrated the accomplishments of many livestock and agriculture enthusiasts. Eventually Mrs. Jean moved to Georgia, where she was a member of the Jefferson Presbyterian Church and Galilee Christian Church. She was always quick to inform people that her favorite promotion was being called “RaRa” an affectionate title given to her by her granddaughters.

Mrs. Jean was preceded in death by her husband Stanley M. Kalino, Jr., her parents Eugene and Esther Campbell and her brother James “Jim” Eugene Campbell . Survivors include her daughter Heather Kalino Shultz (Todd) of Danielsville, Georgia. And two granddaughters Keely (10) and Keaton (5) Shultz.

Family and friends are invited to a drop in celebration of Mrs. Jean’s life on Sunday, December 11th from 3 pm to 5 pm at Harmony Grove Farm-930 B. Wilson Rd., Commerce, GA 30529.

Should friends desire, Memorial contributions can be made to the Georgia 4-H Foundation Kalino Family Scholarship.
