3. Janet Lambert Penrose Mark-Wardlaw (1858-1910) – who in 1877 married firstly; Lt. William Edward Penrose RN in 1877 and who drowned at sea in 1878. Her second husband was Revd. Charles Coryndon Luxmoore, who she married in 1880.
4. Reginald Penrose Mark-Wardlaw (1862-1862) - He died at 3 months old on October the 18th 1862.
5. Harold Penrose Mark-Wardlaw (1863-1936) - who married Mary Dorothy Manley in 1902.
6. Capt. Edgar Penrose Mark-Wardlaw (1866-1900).
7. Arthur Penrose Mark (1870-1935) – who became the husband of Florence Emile Mark-Wardlaw.

From 1881 - 1887 he attended Radley College, Oxford, where he was a Prefect.
On September the 5th 1894 at Aldershot, Hampshire, he married Alfreda Emily Chapman (1861-1914), the daughter of Lt. Gen. Alfred A. Chapman of Tainfield (now called Nailsbourne) near Taunton, Somerset. Following their marriage Alfred and Alfreda resided in Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.
Alfred was a career Soldier who , during WW1 achieved the Rank of Major in the 9th Battalion of the Royal Sussex Regiment.
He died at Stoke, Devonport, Plymouth on the 14th of May 1917 "as a result of active service". He was cremated at Golders Green Crematorium, with his Ashes placed at Niche 1526.
NOTE: By two deed polls dated 19th. November 1894 and 9th. December, 1898, all the sons of William Penrose Mark and Helen Elizabeth Mark, changed their surname of Mark, first to Mark-Wardlaw, and then to Wardlaw, this name being their original surname. Their grandfather William Mark adopted the name of Mark, his true name being Winlaw. His forefathers some generations back (by the registers at Dirleton Co. North Berwick N.B.) held the name of Winlaw, which name has been pronounced by experts to be a corruption of the name Wardlaw, the name of a family driven up North at the time of the Norman Conquest, who set in that part of Scotland.
