Gertrude B. Bloom, 83, of Auburn died Friday at Doctors Hospital. She was born Aug. 8, 1913, in Bloomville, Ohio, the daughter of O.J. and Barbara E. Stein Conaghan. She married Wilbur W. Bloom in Butler, Ind., in 1943. Mrs. Bloom was a former employee at Ben Franklin in Auburn and Kustom Fit in Pioneer, Ohio. She also ran Tiffin Gun Shop in Tiffin, Ohio. She attended Auburn Christian Church and was a Girl Scout leader for 20 years. Survivors: husband, Wilbur; a son, Sarj W. Bloom of Olney, Md.; two daughters, Beatrice A. Williams of Inglis, Fla., and Hazel W. Boss of Columbus, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a niece and a nephew. Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Berry Funeral Home in Auburn, the Rev. David Sowers officiating. Private burial: Fairmont Cemetery, Tiffin, Ohio.
