Joyce Elaine Lingscheit was born to William and Cornelia (Ryder) Lingscheit. She grew up in Draper, attending schools in Jones County, where she graduated from high school.
Joyce moved to California in 1942 where she began dating Wilmar Ernst, and they married July 18, 1943 in Bell Gardens, California.
They came back to the Draper area in 1946 where Joyce enjoyed being a wife, mother and homemaker. Joyce enjoyed flowers, painting and photography.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wilmar; son-in-law Bill; brother Ronnie and 2 sisters: Sylvia and Bonnie.
Grateful for having shared her life are two daughters, five grandchildren,; 9 great great grandchildren.
Memorials will be divided between St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and the Draper Cemetery Fence Project.
