Richard Charles Aulenbach, 75, of Richmond Township, died November 8, 2016. He was the husband of Ardath Fay (Emerich) Aulenbach, to whom he was married October 4, 1975. Born February 18, 1941 in Fivepointville, he was a son of the late Charles Edwin and Evelyn Mae (Manbeck) Aulenbach. Richard was a 1958 graduate of Kutztown High School. He earned a bachelor's degree from Wyomissing Polytechnic Institute. He also attended a design course in New York.

He was self-employed as a cabinet maker. He owned his own business, Crystal Custom Kitchens, Inc., for over 40 years, retiring in 2010. He had many dealers in New England and many local customers.

Richard was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Fleetwood.

He obtained a private pilot's license from Capp Aviation at Reading Regional Airport and was a member of AOPA (Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association).

Richard was proud of the fact that he built his own home in the Poconos. It was known as one of the nicest homes in the area. He enjoyed fishing and spending time in the outdoors.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his two sons, Kyle R., husband of Tressa C. (Miller) Aulenbach, of Yorktown, Va., and Ryan C., husband of Stephanie E. (Sathe) Aulenbach, of Exeter Township. Also surviving is his sister, Jean Hugo of Maxatawny Township; and his two granddaughters, Kasandra and Katryna.

Richard was predeceased by his brother, James Aulenbach.

Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in Stitzel Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Park, Annville, Lebanon County
