Owingsville, Ky. January 22nd--(Special)--
Hon. A. J. Ewing died about 5 o'clock this morning, of Bright's disease of the kidneys. Mr. Ewing was the wealthiest man in the county, and had held many public offices, being elected to two terms as Judge of the Bath County Court, and to one term in the State Senate. He was prominently mentioned at one time as a candidate for Governor of this State. He was seventy-one years old when he died. He leaves a large family, all girls but one, and all of whom are married but one.
