Palestine - Services for Jewel Deel, 88, Palestine, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday in Bailey & Foster Funeral Home Chapel in Palestine with the Rev. Max Martin officiating. Burial will be in Holly Springs Cemetery.

Mrs. Deel died March 8.

She was born May 2, 1910 in Montalba to the late William Andrew Kersh and Belle Cook Kersh. Mrs. Deel was preceded in death by her husband, Claude C. Deel in 1956 and sons, Johnie Deel and Hulan Deel.

She was a homemaker and also worked at West Oak Self-Service Station for many years. She was a member of Memorial Christian Church.

Survivors include daughters, Frances Kohler, Bois D'Arc and Billie Campbell of Frankston, and Ruby Tillman of Denson Springs; son, Claud Deel of Snyder; sister, Winnie Estelle of Henderson; 21 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and other relatives.

Grandsons will be pallbearers.

Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
