Burial July 24,1905------age 80

Son of Mills DeForest Andross and Elizabeth Peabody.

Mills D. Andross born 1805 (?) Vermont,died March 6,1836 at the Alamo.Other sources have his date of birth as 1809.Mills and Elizabeth were married in 1822,I believe his birth date should be earlier.
Bounty Land Grants were awarded to the heirs of Alamo defenders,by the state of Texas;affidavits filed in 1871 and 1873 by Elizabeth Newell on behalf of her two sons,Charles Peabody Andross and William H. Andross,prove relationship.
Thomas R. Andross,an older brother of Mills,also filed an affadavit.
