FOWLER – Orville Edwin (Ed) Zortman’s soul departed his earthly body on Sunday, November 6, 2016, at his residence in Canon City, Colorado, at the age of 88.
Ed was born to Herbert Edwin Zortman and Gladys Lucille Newell Zortman on February 7, 1928.
He is preceded in death by his wife of sixty-five years, Jueene Zortman and a younger brother, Gary Zortman.
He is survived by two brothers, Chuck and Ramona Zortman of Leoti, Kansas, and Cay and Shirley Zortman of Wichtia, Kansas. Three children, Janet and David Martin of Canon City, Colorado, Edwina and David Anton of Montezuma, Kansas, and Tim and Cheryl Zortman of Canon City, Colorado; six grandchildren, Leslie Anton, Tim Martin, Nathan Martin, Megan Crumley, Josh Radloff, and Jessica Green; fourteen great-grandchildren, Richard Jacob, Gwendolyn, Andrew, Briar, Sage, Camden, Blake, Grayson, Chloe, Wilkes, Tyler, Kam, Wyatt, and Connor; with numerous loved nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at the Fowler Friends Church, Fowler, Kansas. Interment will follow in the Fowler Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family would welcome memorials to the Sangre de Cristo Hospice and Palliative Care in care of Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade, Kansas.
