John T. Park

Viola, Ill., Feb. 25. - (Argus News Service.) - John T. Park, 67, died at 8:45 o'clock this morning in his home of a heart attack. He had been in failing health five years.

Born Oct. 25, 1873, in South Moline, son of Andrew and Joanne Hunter Park, he moved to Gilchrist when 16 years old. He married Miss Lina Ogden, July 11, 1900, at Wanlock, and they resided in Peoria 25 years after their marriage. They moved here six years ago. Mr. Park was a coal miner. He was a member of Viola Odd Fellows lodge.

Surviving are the widow; a son, Theodore of Moline; two daughters, Mrs. Marie VanOsdel of St. Joseph, Mo., and Miss Florence Park of Peoria, and a sister, Mrs. Asaberry Griffin of Viola.

The body was removed to the Murphy funeral home in Aledo.

Viola, IL, February 26- (Argus News Service)- Funeral services for John T Parks, who died yesterday morning in his home, will be at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon in Viola Methodist Church, the Rev John Long officiating. Burial will be in the Viola Cemetery.
