Mrs. Knute (Syneva) Alrick a resident of Park Ave. Nursing Home, Albert Lea, Minnesota passed away Jan. 9th, 1968 at the age of 101 years. Mrs. Alrick for many years was an Adams area resident.
A native of Vik Sogn, Norway Mrs. Alrick was born on December 21, 1866 the second eldest of five children born to the late Andre and Syneva Boyum. All preceded her in death.
She migrated to the United States in 1892 and was married to the late Knute Alrick on January 26, 1898 in Albert Lea, Minnesota. An only child died at birth. Her husband passed away on November 14, 1927.
A brother Andrew Boyum and three sisters, Kari Thune, Caroline Stadheim and Emma Gurvin and the following nephews all preceded her in death: Palmer Gurvin and Choran, Elgar and Leonard Thune.
Immediate survivors are nieces and nephews, Clara Thune, Mrs. L.P. Lilygren and George Boyum all of Albert Lea. Mrs. Nellie Madson, Rochester, Minn. George Gurvin, Puerto Rico, Sadie Gurvin, St. Paul, Mrs. Martin Daldorf, Little Rock, Ark., Mrs. Robert Schener of Minneapolis and Ida Rudlong of Adams.
Funeral services were held at the First Lutheran Church at 11:00 a.m. January 12th in Albert Lea, Minn. The Rev. Arvid E. Bidne officiating, soloist was Mr. Maurice Anderson. Interment at Little Cedar Cemetery in Adams, Minnesota.
The following Adams people attended the funeral Miss Ida Rudlong, Miss Sena Gurvin, Mrs. Clarence Viste and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Anderson.
