Dorothy L. Nowels
Elkhart - Dorothy L. Nowels, 79, of 1001 W. Hively Ave, died at 6 p.m. Saturday (March 22, 1997) in Rosewood Terrance Nursing Home.
She was born on Sept. 22, 1915, in Elkhart. She married Harold L. Nowels on Nov. 12, 1938, in Elkhart. He died July 23, 1975. Surviving are one brother, Francis E. Sparr of Bristol and several nieces. A brother, Glenn E. Sparr, is deceased.
There will be no visitation or service. The body will be cremated. The Elkhart chapel of Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Nowels was a homemaker and a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
Memorials may be given to the church or Elkhart County Humane Society.
