John T. Brides
John T. Brides, 203 North Main street was stricken ill on the street Wednesday and taken to the hospital. He later returned home and died there Christmas eve.
He was a member of the Brockton Aerie of Eagles, Brockton Lodge of Elks and the AOH. He had been employed by the city highway department for 30 years.
Mr. Brides was a son of the late Patrick and Catherine (Smith) Brides. He made his home with his sister, Mrs. Catherine M. Sullivan. He leaves four brothers, Henry J., Philip P. and Arthur F. Brides all of this city and Owen Francis Brides of Hull; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held Monday at 8:15 from the funeral home, 403 Main street. A solemn high mass of requiem will be sung in St. Edward;s church at 9. Interment will be in Calvary cemetery.
