Charles Percival Perdue was a prominent textile official and accountant in Gastonia NC. He was born in Unionville, PA. to a prominent doctor and his wife. He worked with a chemical company in Pennsylvania, then moved to Gastonia to 1919 as the secretary/treasurer of ArtCloth Mill in Lowell, NC. Later he organized a mill in Mississippi, then back to Gastonia where he would organize the Perdue Spinning Company.
