Son of James and Mary Burns McGee, both born in Ireland, he married Emma Metzger, worked as the foreman of a boiler shop at the Chicago Pneumatic Tool Co., lived at 1424 Otter St, Franklin, died there of cancer of the bladder, per death certificate 107843, whose informant was his wife. William Joseph McGee, 71, died at 10:30 pm Saturday at home, 1424 Otter Street, after ill health of two years.


Until he became ill, he worked as foreman at he Chicago Pneumatic Tool Co. plant for a number of years. He was a devoted member of St. Patrick's Catholic church.


Surviving are his widow, and a sister, Mrs. George Brennan of Franklin.


Services will be at 9 am Tuesday at his church with Rev. Thomas B. Downey officiating. Interment will be in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery.
