Mrs. Margaret Annette Lawless, 79, of Dalton, departed this life Oct. 12, 2016, at her residence. She was born on Nov. 14, 1936, in Dalton, a daughter to the late Rosco and Frances Teasley Ledford. She was also preceded by sisters, Doris Beal and Barbara Quarles; brothers, Charlie Beal and Roy Beal; and a grandson, David Wrape.
Margaret is survived by daughters and son-in-law, Mary and Jack Wood of Dalton, and Paula Phillips of Eton; a son, Larry Phillips of Dalton; and grandchildren and spouses, William "Bo" and Brittany Wood, Shannon and Jon Guffey, Brandy Wood, Terry Sissom and Tony Wrape. She is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Sherlyn Ledford of Augusta and Robert and Helen Beal of Chattanooga, Tenn. She had 10 great-grandchildren.
Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Margaret Lawless will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with Brother Edwards officiating. She will be laid to rest at Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
