Funeral service will be at 12 noon Tuesday at Crestwood Chapel for Mr. Thomas Earl Mitchell, 57, 13 Marston Ave., who died Sunday, Aug. 22, 1993. The Rev. Jimmy Boatwright will officiate.

Burial in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge.

Mr. Mitchell was an employee of the District 2 Road Department of Etowah County.

He was preceded in death by Geraldine Mitchell.

He is survived by his wife, Diane Mitchell; son, Thomas Franklin Mitchell; daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and James Holt, Karen King and Frank Tozzi; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Lillian Mitchell, Jimmy and Linda Mitchell; sisters and brother-in-law, Betty and H. Randolph and Frances Woodall; grandchildren, Tammy, Nina Contessa, Francesca, Barry, and Terry; great-grandchildren, Dorothy and Christopher; sisters-in-law, Janice Bridwell, Boaz, Peggy and Cathy Gordon; mother-in-law; and nieces, Jennifer and Amy Birdwell, and Angie, All of Boaz.

The family will receive friends this evening at the funeral home.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Crestwood Chapel for Mrs. Geraldine "Gerri" Mitchell, 53, 402 Princeton Ave., Gadsden, who died Wednesday, May 31, 1989. Bill Williams will officiate. Burial in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge.

Mrs. Mitchell was a native and lifelong resident of Etowah County and attended Attalla Church of Christ. She was a former employee of Holiday Inn and was the daughter of the late William H. and Altie Rosa Lee Mayben Woodall.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Lillie Mae Kitchens.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas E. Mitchell, Gadsden; son, Thomas (Frankie) Mitchell, Gadsden; two daughters, Susan Holt, Glencoe; Karen King, Altoona; two sons-in-law, James Holt and Thomas King; four grandchildren, Tammy Ashburn, Terry Holt, Melina and Contessa King; two great-grandchildren, Christopher Hallmark and Timothy Ashburn; grandson-in-law, James Ashburn Jr.; step-father, Henry Mayben, Loganville, Ga.; sisters, Mrs. Earlene Smith, Atlanta, Ga.; Mrs. Faye Fergerson, Loganville, and brothers, Carl R., William Mack, Raymond Lee and James Willard Woodall, all of Gadsden.

Honorary pallbearers will be Drs. D.C. Parman, Donn Brascho, George D. Miller, and nurses and staff of fourth floor of Holy Name of Jesus Hospital.

The family will receive friends from 6-9 tonight at the funeral home.
