John Paul Abrell was born on October 20, 1955 in Seymour, Indiana to Auties and Delores Abrell. He was the only son of four children. His three sisters are Betty Dailey, Mary Wright and Becky DeShong. He graduated from Lawrence Central High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. John graduated from Ambassador College in Pasadena, California with a BA in Business Administration and a minor in Theology. He married Debi Smith on October 8, 1978 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. They have been married for 33 years. He created Architectural Sign and Graphics, Inc. in 1988. He was an elder at his church for many years and was involved in youth programs, speaking and other volunteer activities. He has two daughters, two son-in-laws and one grandson; Janelle and Austin Fowler, Jocelyn and Jason Rohrer, and Graham Abrell Rohrer. He loved God, traveling, good food and spending time with family. He was always making jokes and helping others. He put God first in everything he did and lived life to the fullest.
