Opal was born September 24, 1927 in Stokes County to Riley and Agnes Tuttle Tuttle.
She was a member of Germanton Baptist Church, where she served on various church committees while her health permitted.
She was a volunteer of the East Stokes Outreach Ministry for many years and also volunteered her time at Germanton Park.
Opal loved and adored her grandchildren and attended many events until she became unable.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband: Alfred Aaron; her second husband: Charles D. “Pete” Foy; two sons: Tim Aaron and Joseph Aaron.
She is survived by four loving children: Steve Aaron (Marvie) of Hickory, Lance Aaron (Diana) of Madison, Sherman Aaron (Theresa) of North Wilkesboro and Sue Kuhn (Ray) of Clemmons; one stepson, David Foy; one sister: Bessie Tuttle of Walnut Cove; ten grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
There will be a 3:00 pm funeral service on Friday, November 4, 2016 at Burroughs Chapel with Rev. Jeff Stephens and Rev. Robert Lattimore officiating.
A private family burial will be held prior to the service.
The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 pm Friday, November 4, 2016 at Burroughs Funeral Home.
