a proud member of the 1955 Omega High State Basketball Championship team.
Berneda was a loving Mother, Grandmother, and friend. She always saw the good in everyone, especially her grandchildren.
Berneda worked for many years in banking, always a intergral part of their bowling team. She retired from Union Bank. Upon her retirement she enjoyed spending time traveling with her husband George. But, time with her family was the most precious to her. However, her Friday Canasta games with the "girls," was a close second.
Berneda was preceded in death by her loving husband, George, and son Bob. She is survived by son Rodney Crist and wife Tawna, son Jim Cullum and wife Jazz, daughter
Jeri McCarty and husband Chris, Seven Grandchildren and Fourteen Great-Grand children. And, her constant four legged companion, Chester.
The family wishes to thank the special staff and Heritage Assisted Living for their care and friendship.
A come-and-go visitation and reception will be 6-8pm on Wednesday, November 2nd at Crawford Family Funeral Service, Edmond. A service honoring Berneda's life will be at 1:00 pm on Thursday, November 3rd at Cherokee Hills Christian Church in Oklahoma City with burial following at Omega Cemetery.
