Billie Bridges Mildren, age 98 of Walnut Springs, passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2016 in Kerrville, Texas.

Funeral services will be Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 1:00 P.M., at the Walnut Springs Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Lawson Funeral Home in Meridian. Burial will be at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Walnut Springs. Rev. T.J. Joyner will officiate. Pallbearers will be Patrick Fox, Justin Mooney, Tom Hicks, Paul Jones, Calvin Choate, and John Uloth.

Billie was born on October 4, 1918 in Anson, Texas to Hal and Ada Million Shakelford. She married Roy Bridges in 1937 in Alvin, Texas. She lived in Glen Rose for several years where she worked as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in the Glen Rose Nursing Home. She had lived in Walnut Springs since 1972. Billie was a member of the Walnut Springs Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, Don Bridges and wife, Janet, of Lake Whitney, Harold Bridges of Claremore, Oklahoma, Bobby Bridges and wife, Betty, of Foyil, Oklahoma, Mary Choate and husband, Earl, of Abilene, Linda Hicks and husband, Tom, of Kerrville; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Arrangements were made by Lawson Funeral Home, Meridian, Texas.
