LINDA MARIE CREEDON
AGE 71 YEARS

Linda Marie (Robinson) Creedon of Cotuit, Massachusetts died peacefully on October 30, 2016 at Cape Cod Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born in Regent Square, Pittsburgh, PA. Linda was the daughter of the late Dr. Roy B. Robinson of Pittsburgh and Estelle M. (Nefores) Robinson Fulp of Raleigh, North Carolina.
She died following a lengthy and courageous seventeen year battle with a rare cancer.

Linda leaves behind her husband of forty five years, the Honorable Michael C. Creedon (ret.) of Cotuit,
her three children, Kathryn Creedon Sullivan and her husband Joseph W. of Hingham, MA, Michael Jr. and his wife Katherine (Rodormer) of Hingham, MA and Edward Blair "Ned" of Chicago, Illinois.
She leaves her 5 beloved grandchildren, all of Hingham, MA.

She is survived by her mother, her sisters, Carol R. (Robinson) Rhodes of Etters, PA, and Janice C. (Robinson) Rowe of Boone, NC.

Linda graduated from Clarion State University in 1967 with a Bachelors of Education, and received her Masters of Education from Cambridge University in 1993. Linda was a beloved second grade teacher for many years, serving over ten years at the Oscar Raymond School in Brockton, Mass. and previously in West Bridgewater, Mass., Montgomery County, Maryland, and Hanover, PA

In 1981, then Governor Edward J. King appointed Linda to the Public Health Council where she reviewed all applications for Certificates of Need for health care expansions in Massachusetts, she was instrumental in the advancement of health care in southern MA, the City of Brockton, benefiting in receiving the first free standing dialysis unit south of Route 128 and in bringing CAT scans and MRI scans to all Brockton hospitals.

Following her six year term on the Public Health Council, she returned to her first love of teaching second graders at the Raymond School. She continued her health care interests as both a Trustee of Brockton Hospital and New England Sinai Hospital of Stoughton, MA. Due to illness, Linda retired from teaching in 1998.

In her retirement, Linda lived year round in Cotuit, MA. She loved being with her family, spending time with and caring for her five grandchildren.

She made a difference in the lives of so many. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.

Burial: Mosswood Cemetery, Cotuit, Massachusetts.
