Wanda Starnes Henry, age 74, of Newport, passed away, Monday, October 31, 2016 at her home. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents Wilie and Ollie McCarter; husband, Lloyd Starnes, Jr.; and niece PJ Haynes.
She is survived by her husband, Jack Henry; sons, Ricky ( Sandy) Starnes, Jeff (Linda) Starnes, all of Newport; Chad Starnes of Morristown; daughter, Buffy (Barry) Gregory of Newport; brother, J. B. McCarter of Morristown; sister, Bonnie (Clenzie) Jenkins of Newport; grandchildren, Malerie Sisk, Trevor Starnes, Ashley Gregory and Chasity Gregory; six great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held 7:00 pm Friday, November 4, 2016 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Michael VanZee, Rev. David Gamble and Rev. Ben Watts. Burial will be held 11:00 am Saturday, November 5, 2016 in Union Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Friday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral service. Arrangements by Manes Funeral Home.
