Born May 14, 1919 at Pangburn, Arkansas, the son of the late James Rains and May Reed Rains. He was a Methodist by faith and a retired carpenter. Raymond enjoyed photography and writing. He is survived by his wife Geraldean Violet Smith Rains and his children, son Dan Rains and a daughter Barbara Rains Doyle of Pangburn, Arkansas. He is also survived by three grandchildren and three great grandchildren, as well as other relatives and many friends.
