Claredna Stordahl Kipp, age 87 of Sundance WY, died Tuesday July 9, 2013 at her home in Sundance, Wyoming, surrounded by her loving family.

The funeral service will be held 10am Friday, July 12th, 2013 at the St. James Lutheran Church in Belle Fourche, with Pastor Jeff Otterman officiating. There will be no visitation.

Interment will take place at Black Hills National Cemetery, in Sturgis.

Funeral arrangements are with Funeral Home of the Northern Hills in Belle Fourche.

Clara Edna "Claredna" Reynolds was born December 12, 1925 on the Reynolds Ranch near Moskee, southeast of Sundance, Wyoming. She was the 6th of 7 children, raised by her parents Harry Edward Reynolds and Charlotte Stanton Reynolds. She attended grade school at the Ransom School and graduated from Sundance High School in 1944. After high school, she attended business college in Chilocothe, Missouri. She was employed as a bookkeeper and she met her husband Loy Stordahl when she worked at Baroid Bentonite Co. located near Osage, WY. They were married December 5th, 1946 and lived in Clay Spur WY until Loy was transferred to the Colony Plant near Belle Fourche SD. They made their home in Belle Fourche and raised three children there: Harry, Linda, and Lawrence. They lived in Belle Fourche from 1957 to 1994, where they were members of St. James Lutheran Church, which is also where the children were confirmed.

Claredna belonged to various organizations connected to the church. She volunteered with the Girl Scouts, was a member of the Toast Masters Club, various bowling leagues, and frequently sang at events around Belle Fourche and was known for her beautiful soprano voice. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Upton WY. She worked as a bookkeeper at several businesses around Belle Fourche. Her husband Loy passed away at the age of 89. In 1994, Claredna moved to Newcastle WY and married Adrian "Bud" Kipp.

Claredna is survived by her children, Harry Stordahl of Sundance WY, Linda Stordahl of Bigfork MT, Lawrence (Meggan) Stordahl of Jackson WY; 7 grandchildren, Jeursha, Loy, Claudine, Jared, Ryan, Jonathan, and Lars; 4 great grandchildren, Severin, Wyatt, Grace, Gage; and sisters, Doris Lake and Carol Petera.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husbands, Loy Stordahl and Adrian "Bud" Kipp
