Mary Evelyn Dickson Ashe, 88, of Lynchburg, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2016. She was the loving wife of the late Walter Carr Ashe for over 50 years.
Born January 22, 1928, in Meridian, Mississippi, she was a daughter of the late Beecher Otis Dickson and Evelyn McCain Dickson. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy D. Hall.
Evelyn received her Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. She was a longtime, faithful, and beloved member of First Presbyterian Church in Lynchburg and a past member of the Lynchburg Women's Club.
