Born January 22, 1928, in Meridian, Mississippi, she was a daughter of the late Beecher Otis Dickson and Evelyn McCain Dickson. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy D. Hall.
Evelyn received her Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. She was a longtime, faithful, and beloved member of First Presbyterian Church in Lynchburg and a past member of the Lynchburg Women's Club.
