Rozetta (Rosie) Zimmerman was born December 29th, 1928 to George and Elsie Hill in Pretty Prairie, Kansas. She was the oldest of 11 children.

Rosie married Pete Zimmerman in Burlington, CO on June 7th, 1947. To this union, one daughter was born, Berniece (Dave) Mitchell. Pete and Rosie moved to Colorado in 1954 and to Greeley in 1961.

They owned and operated Zimmerman Oil Co, where Rosie was bookkeeper extraordinaire and occasional truck driver, for 22 years before retirement in 1991.

Pete and Rosie were very active in the Greeley Wesleyan Church where Rosie sang in the choir for several years, and was the kitchen coordinator for many years.

Rosie is survived by her daughter, Berniece; son-in-law, Dave; grandchildren, Chad (Sheri) Mitchell and Jay (Lynn) Mitchell, and 6 great grandchildren, Pete, Heidi, Amy, and Tate Mitchell and Tyler and Alex Rugh; brothers, Kieth (Elsie) Hill, Wayne (Amy) Hill, Dean (Phyllis) Hill, Roy Hill, Harold (Wanda) Hill, Darrell (Connie) Hill and Gary (Jackie) Hill, and two sisters, Mary (Herb) Davidson and Nita (Paul) Phillips; extended family, Mac and Marylou Best and their children Tom (Faith) Best & Julie (Dale) Dunlap and their families and Gerry (Diana) McCann and Rodney (Lindsay) McCann and their families; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Her parents, husband and one brother, Glen Hill have preceded her in death.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Adamson. A Life Celebration service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 6, 2017 at Generations formerly the Greeley Wesleyan Church, 3600 22nd Street, Greeley, CO 80634. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to the “Alzheimer’s Association” in care of Adamson Life Celebration Home, 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley, CO 80634.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Grace Pointe Memory Care and the Suncrest Hospice team for the loving care they gave to Rosie.
