Adam U. Schmoyer died unexpectedly yesterday afternoon in the Mercantile Club of Emmaus. Dr. Frederick H. Martin, a Lehigh County deputy coroner, said death was caused by a heart attack. He was 41. An employe of the Emmaus Foundry, Schmoyer resided at 516 Broad St., Emmaus. Born in Allentown, he was a son of Adam U. and Emma (Lorish) Schmoyer of Macungie. He was the husband of Florence (Getz) Schmoyer. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Surviving besides his parents and widow are three daughters, Nancy, at home; Diane of Vera Cruz, and Louise, wife of Frederick Koehler of Allentown; two brothers, Franklin J. and Arthur S., both of Macungie; seven sisters, Lizzie, wife of Harold Engleman, of Reading; Eileen, wife of Alfred Dise of Quakertown R.d.; and Betty, wife of Willard Christman, Faye, wife of John Hartzell, Grace, wife of Ray Helfrich, Linda, wife of David Trumbauer, and Mae Schmoyer, all of Macungie R.D., and one grandson. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Clarence R. Ritter Funeral Home, 36-38 S. 5th St., Emmaus. Calling hours will be 7-9 p.m. Thursday.
