FORCE FUNERAL WEDNESDAY

Funeral services for Mrs. Zilla Force, 69, wife of Earl Force, 105 Lincoln, Brooklyn, were held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, in the Grace United Methodist Church. Mrs. Force died Sunday morning in the Grinnell General Hospital.

Rev. Fred Pierce, Pastor, officiated. Organist was Mrs. Ed Bartachek and flower attendants were Mr. & Mrs. Glenn Mowrey and Mrs. Agnes Montgomery. Casket-bearers were Alfred Llamas, Larry Reitzler, Wm. Werneburg, Scott Werneburg, Robert Price and Michael Price. Interment was in the IOOF Cemetery with the Nevenhoven Funeral Home in charge of funeral services.

Zilla Katherine Fullerton Force was born on November 4, 1906, in Mendota, Mo., the daughter of Eli Crittenden and Hattie Mae Corbin Fullerton. She came to Brooklyn with her father in 1914. She was a graduate of Brooklyn High School.

Mrs. Force was united in marriage to Earl Force on Sept. 1, 1926, in Hartwick. Mrs. Force was in charge of the Brooklyn school lunch program for 10 years from 1955 to 1965.

Mrs. Force was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Royal Neighbors, Pythian Sisters and the South Side Circle.

Mrs. Force is survived by her husband, Earl; 1 son, John of San Francisco, California; 5 daughters, Ruth, Mrs. Wm. Gundelfinger of Ventura, California, Marie, Mrs. Lester Slagle of Grinnell, Delores, Mrs. Maynard Reitzler of Montclair, California, Mrs. Katherine (Kay) Ryan of Greensboro, N.C., and Mary, Mrs. Phillip Muta of Colfax, Ia.; 3 brothers, Andrew Fullerton, Ernest Fullerton and Duard Fullerton all of Clinton, Ia.; 3 sisters, Mrs. Nellie Uhl of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Sylvia Perry of Albuquerque, N.M., and Mrs. Vernice Pierce of Phoenix, Arizona; 17 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Force was preceded in death by her parents; 1 brother; 1 sister; and 1 grandchild.
