Sherrin Child Warren returned to her Heavenly Father on October 29, 2016 after a heroic battle with brain cancer, which she fought to the very end.

Our amazing wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister was born January 1, 1941, in Ogden, Utah, to Orville Dean and Sylvia Forbes Child.

She married Richard Dee Warren on July 12, 1958. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple. They have cherished their life together and look forward to spending eternity together.

Sherrin and Richard devoted their time raising their children. Sherrin worked as a chef at the NCO Club and the Davis Hospital, but put her duties as a mother above all else.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in many callings.

Sherrin enjoyed cooking, sewing, and family gatherings. Anyone who knew Sherrin, knew she was an exceptional cook, had a great sense of humor, and loved her family more than anything. Sherrin grew up helping her father on their family farm in Layton and carried those hard work ethics into all aspects of her life.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Richard; their children: Tammy Chatwin, of Tremonton, Sherrie (Marty) Mobley, of West Weber, Connie (Clint) Lowe, of Farr West, and Wayne (Nicky) Warren, of West Point; her pride and joy: 11 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and another on the way; and her brother, Larry.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Terri Lynn; her parents; her sister, Margaret Crockett; and her brothers: Vern and Michael.

We will miss her fun personality, contagious laugh, and positive outlook.

Our family would like to thank her doctors and nurses at Huntsman Cancer Institute and Gamma West Cancer Services, as well as Alexis, Lisa, Teesha, and Susan at Envision Hospice for their loving care.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday November 2, 2016, at 11 a.m. at the Syracuse First ward, 700 S. 2500 W. Syracuse, Utah. Friends may visit family Tuesday November 1, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd. and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.

Interment, Syracuse Cemetery, Syracuse, Utah.
