Neva Mae was born on January 31, 1939 in Cedar Falls, Iowa, the daughter of Ray and Eula McCarter Thomas. She married Gordon Nolte in 1958, but they later divorced. In August 1984, she married Charles Stone. Neva was a bookkeeper at Rapids Wholesale Equipment for many years and she then worked at Walmart until August 2016.
She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church, where she enjoyed church and the women’s church coffee club. She loved to crochet, knit, garden, watch hummingbirds, bake wonderful homemade bread, play bridge, and read, belonging to two book clubs. Chuck and Neva often would travel to Texas during the winter. Neva loved her family and friends and her cat Peaches. Neva lived a very full life and will be deeply missed.
Neva is preceded in death by her husband Charles, her parents, and a son, Jeffery Nolte.
