Martin F. Grasher of Custer died Wednesday, April 8, 1998. He was 77. At his request, no service will be held. Born Dec 27, 1920 in Custer, he graduated from Lynden High School in 1938. Following graduation, he attended a technical college in Portland, Ore.
He married Betty Bender in December 1943 in Custer.
Mr. Grasher worked in farming and as a mechanic for Mount Baker Motors. A goldsmith, he also enjoyed working on tractors and raising roses and his three Rottweilers.
He was a member of Custer United Methodist Church, Toastmasters, Bellingham Rock and Gem Club and Bellingham Photography Club.
Survivors include his wife of the family home; sons Ray Grasher of Blaine, Jerry Grasher of Ellensburg, Clark Grasher of Edmonds and Gary Grasher of Kirkland; daughter Marilyn Matheson of Ferndale; nine grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Stafholt Good Samaritan Center, Blaine, WA. Arrangements are by Moles Funeral Home.
