Howard Basnett, 93, of Lebanon, died Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016, in Lebanon.
He was born Dec. 18, 1922, in Lebanon, Mo. to Dennis William and Pearl M. Lang Basnett.
On May 3, 1945, he married Freeda Bechtel.
He was preceded in death by his parents; great-granddaughter, Emilyn; one brother, Robert Basnett, and three sisters, Vera Reynolds, Gladys Weddle and Ellen Hosea.
Howard served in the United States Navy, was a Laclede County farmer, was office manager for the ASCS office, and was plant manager of MFA Plant Food, retiring in 1984.
He was a member of First Assembly of God.
Survivors include his wife, Freeda; one son, Gary Basnett and his wife, Janet, of Willard; two daughters, Patty Harrill and husband, Paul, of Rogers, Ark.; Becky McCleary and husband, Todd, of Lebanon; one brother, Larry Basnett, of Denver, Colo.; three sisters, Emma Pecchia and husband, Gene, of Deer Park, Wash.; Lucille Lusk, of Denver, Colo.; Mildred Rhoads, of Lake Lure, N.C.; eight grandchildren, Daniel Basnett and wife, Missy, Melissa Basnett, Tom Harrill and wife, Tammy, Amber Woller and husband, Scott, Liz Harmon and husband, Mark, Erin Snyder and husband Brad, Ariel Frazier and Heather Alexander; great-grandchildren, Nicole, Jared, Jordan, Alissa, Dalton, Grayson, Corey, Tiffany, Kylie, Kaiya, Abrea, Emma, Shiloh, Aaron, Keaton, Jackson, Gabriella, Avaella and Addilyn; great-great-grandchildren, Emmalyn and Avery; other relatives and many friends.
