Laval "Allen" Eitniear, 82, of Ferry, passed away Oct 27, 2016, born in Hesperia to George & Verna (Rought) Eitniear Aug 30, 1934. He married Delores Schmieding in May 9, 1955. They celebrated 61 years of marriage this year. Al loved old time country and gospel music. He collected riding lawnmowers and spent time refurbishing them with his son. The coffee pot was always on for Sunday morning "donut time" with his kids. Since staying with his daughter, they enjoyed watching old westerns every night. Al was an avid reader of western paperbacks. He was the best husband, father, grandpa and great-grandpa and was well loved by all. Al attended Ferry Wesleyan Church, was baptized June 8, 2014.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, Delores; children, Debbie (Bob) Collins, Tim (Anna) Eitniear, Doug (Janine) Eitniear, Laurie (Kelly) Delia, and Sandi Eitniear; twelve grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; his brothers, Gale (Lil) Eitniear, Marlin (Sharon) Eitniear, and Keith (Sharon) Eitniear; his sisters, Bonnie Robinson and Nancy (Bill) VanAvery; sister-in-laws, Beverly Lorenz, Ilene Schmieding, Norma (Stan) McWaters, and Evva (Glenn) Hoffman; brother-in-law, C.J. Booher; and close family friend, Ann Wade. He was preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law & father-in-law, Clifford & Doris Schmieding; brothers, Duane, Leonard, Leal, & Robert; sister, Connie Booher; son-in-law, Perry Booher; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Vigil Robinson, Gale & Mary Lou Turner, Adriana Eitinear, & Richard Schmieding.
