Obituary
He is a son of Andrew J Bachman and wife Mary Nee Garber.
In Roanoke, he received the rite of Baptism in the Mennonite church. He was united in marriage to Lina Enz.
To this happy union 7 boys and 9 daughters were born. One died in infancy in 1907.
The Bachman family moved to South Dakota and then in 1924 they came to Brookfield township, Renville county, Minnesota, where they resided on the Bunyan farm. From Brookfield township they moved to the present farm in Cosmos township, Minn., where they lived eight years.
Mr. Bachman always enjoyed good health until just recently, when a severe heart attack forced him to his bed. His condition at that time was critical, however, he rallied to the extent that he could leave his bed again. Not so long ago he appeared in the town of Cosmos. Those who saw him saying that he was getting along fair and hopes were expressed for him.
Last Sunday, June 28th, between 2 and 3:30 in the morning he had another severe heart attack, this time he did not recover. It was about 3:30 in the morning when he was called to his maker into Eternity.
Speaking of him as a neighbor it can be truthfully said that he was a good neighbor for it was our privilege to live just across the road from him...
He is gone now, only too soon.
But who know the Way of God
He leaves to mourn his departure his sorrowing wife, six sons, Ed, Harry, Henry, Lawrence, Martin and Virgil; nine daughters, Mrs Adam Hahn, Mrs. Henry Hahn, Mrs Roy Minnick, Mrs August Hanson, Edna, Blanche, Buelah, Ruth, Marjorie and his aged father, four brothers, three sisters, eight grandchildren.
The deceased brought his earthly pilgrimage to an end at 56 years, 6 months and 26 days.
The pall bearers were his six sons, Edgar, Harry, Henry, Lawrence, Martin and Virgil.
The Word of God says, "Blessed are the dead that die in the Lord from henceforth for the Spirit saith that they rest from their labor and their words do follow them."
Memory Verse
I heard the Voice of Jesus say, I heard the Voice of Jesus say, I heard the Voice of Jesus say ,
Come unto Me and rest; Behold I freely give I am this dark words light;
Lay down thy weary one lay down The living water; thirsty one Look unto me, thy ,man shall rise
Thy head upon my breast; Stoop down and drink and live! And all thy day be bright!
I come to Jesus, as I was, I come to Jesus and I drink I looked for Jesus and I found
Weary, worn and sad; Of life giving stream; In him my star, my sun
I found in him a resting place, My thirst was quenched, my soul revived And in that light, of life I'll walk
And he has made me glad; And now I live in him, Till done travelling days are done.
