Eva Nell (Cunningham) Paul went home to be with the Lord October 24, 2016. She was 95 years and 19 days old. She was born in Kaufman, Texas on October 5, 1921 to John A. Cunningham and Dora Hennessee Cunningham.
In 1926 her family moved to Oklahoma by wagon. She attended Flower Mound School when it was only one room, went on to graduate from Faxon High School and attended Cameron College. She began working at the Department of Agriculture in Lawton for the ASCS office and remained there for 36 years until her retirement. She then worked part time at the Comanche County Treasurer’s Office.
In November of 1945 she married Jerry L. Paul in Napoleon, Ohio and they made their home in Lawton. They had two daughters, Donna and Nelda.
Eva enjoyed bus trips with the senior adult groups at her church and through the Center for Creative Living. She also sang in the senior adult choir. At the time of her death she was a member at First Baptist East of Lawton.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Jack Bozarth, Lawton and Nelda and Bill Watson, Houston, Texas; three grandchildren, John Watson, Houston, Texas, Jason Watson, Comanche, Oklahoma and Jami Taylor and husband Cody, Fort Worth, Texas; six great grandchildren, Waylon, Adrian, Johnny, Michael, Lilly and Lola; one great great grandson, Wade.
Her husband and her brother and sister-in-law, John and Geneva Cunningham, preceded her in death.
Graveside funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 28, 2016 in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Rev. Doug Passmore, Pastor, First Baptist East officiating.
