Rudolph (Rudy) Postel

Rudolph H. (Rudy) Postel, 68, for the last three years an agent for the Flashh-a-Call Inter-Communication Co., died at 12:14 a.m. Thursday in his home, 720 Gaines street, following a lingering illness.

A life resident of Davenport, Mr. Postel was born June 12, 1882, son of the late Fritz and Elise Looft Postel. He attended the public schools and Duncan's business college. On Dec. 24, 1918, he was married to Jesse Bosely at Ladora, Ia.

Mr. Postel formerly was employed for a number of years in the county auditor's office and later was with the state income tax office for several years. He was a member of the Unitarian church.

Surviving are the widow; two sons, Richard F. Postel of Hermosa Beach, Calif., and James L. Postel, Davenport; two brothers, Fritz Postel, Ft. Wadsworth, Staten Island, N. Y., and A. F. Postel, Davenport, and a granddaughter, Priscilia Postel, Davenport.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday in the Hill & Frederiks chapel followed by cremation at the Davenport crematorium.
